Over the years the traders of Clevedon, like numerous other small towns throughout the UK,
have produced many everyday items that are now of interest to the collector, here I have a
small selection of the interesting and unusual home produced items.
If you own anything you feel would interest other collectors, or have a piece of memorabilia
from Clevedon & would like to know it's history,
please email me; Collectors@Clevedon-civic-society.org.uk

Due to the locality of these items, and given the fact that many could only be sold in
Clevedon, I would be particularly interested in how far some items
have travelled. Please contact me with any stories behind your collectibles.

A group of crested souvenir china with Clevedon's original coat of arms.

Crested china could only be sold in the town whose crest it carried. Many items can be found with the name of the shop which sold it printed on the bottom.

E. Dyer of Kenn Court Farm Kenn.
The cream was produced at the
farm dairy and sold at their shop in

dating from the 1890's, the brown
pot on the right is from the 1930's.

A teapot from the Creamery in Hill Rd.
It was probably used in the Cafe/ices
parlour at the rear of the shop.
The creamery was owned by James Oram followed by Frank house
and then JS Maynard.

A selection of stoneware
containers used by
Godfrey Archer for Ginger beer.

Archers mineral water factory was situated in Griffin Rd .
