This is a very sociable and lively group which walks on a monthly basis, generally during the day but occasionally in the evening during the summer. The Walks are varied, going through town and countryside and averaging 5 miles in length. Recent walks have included Burringtron Combe, Bristol Harbourside, Cadbury Camp and "Little Known" Clifton.

We normally meet at the Barn Car Park (BCP) from where we lift share to our starting point, we then try to end the walk at a near by "watering hole".

We are always keen to see new members who will receive a warm welcome and along with existing members will be informed of the nature of the walk and any impending hazards which may be encountered along the way. This information is also available by phoning the leader whose telephone number is advertised in advance in the local press (Mercury and Clevedon paper).
Four times a year we meet to discuss future walks and any other matters that might arise.

Planned Walks:

Thurs Mar 25th - Meet at the Baptist Church 10am to follow one of the ‘Ten Clevedon Walks’ TBA, leader Maureen 541045.

Sun Apr 25th - Granny Trek for Children’s Hospice South West. If you wish to take part you will have to register (I have some forms or you can register online at www.chsw.org.uk) It is up to you whether you obtain sponsors or make a donation. In the past we have done and thoroughly enjoyed, the 6 mile (challenging!) distance, cross-country in the Wraxall area. Nearer the time we can perhaps organise some lift-sharing.

Mon May 10th - Circular walk from Easton-in-Gordano, leader Hazel tel 876749. Meet at the BCP 9.30am for lift-share to the Rudgeleigh Inn where we can park and have lunch. More details from Hazel nearer the time.

Wed May 26th - Historical walk in Weston-super-Mare, leaders Reg & Diana tel 07854802253. We shall be travelling by the X25 bus, Albert Rd 9.17am, Crab Apple, Southern Way 9.22am, the Triangle 9.26am. Please make your own arrangements for lunch at the end of the walk and catch the bus home at your own discretion. Distance of walk approx 3 miles, mainly pavement walking.
