Meets third Thursday in the month 7.30 p.m. at St Andrews Church Centre.

The group has been running for over 25 years, during that time it’s aims and ideals have remained the same. We wish to foster an interest in the town’s history, to research and share our findings with as wide an audience as possible.

The original research group ,Village Pump has added enormously to the knowledge of the town and its people. Because of its success we have recently expanded on it to include, the Military Chest, Collectors Lot, Postcard Album. These groups plus the Bookshop, can be viewed under their appropriate icon. The books make interesting reading and are excellent value for money. The group offer a free limited research service to Civic Society members.

In Clevedon we are blessed with a rich source of historical interest, the town’s Victorian architecture is some of the finest in the country, and many of the town’s folk over the years have had interesting tales to tell.

Please use our Website, we hope you will find that small item of information that has been eluding you. All members of the Civic Society are welcome to attend our meetings, and a warm welcome is given to any visitors from near or far. We pride ourselves on the fact that 75% of our monthly talks are provided by group members.

Please join us for a friendly and interesting evening.
