On a wet morning 9 of us caught the X5 bus to Weston.

We walked around different areas looking at buildings including the Town Hall and meandered through the streets to the Museum, where we all enjoyed coffee & cake and a quick look around.

We then carried on through the back streets looking at more buildings to the old Museum situated on the Boulevard. We walked on to the Winter Gardens and through areas to Grove Park and into Jill Dando’s garden, then up to South Road and along to Prince Consort Gardens.

Then carried on down to Burnbeck Pier to see the extensive work needed to be carried out for its refurbishment. We followed the coast path along to the Marine Lake and walked along the sea wall between the lake and sea to Knightstone Island and looked around the renovated buildings where it was extremely windy!

We then had lunch in the Cabot Bar and headed back to the bus stop, an enjoyable day despite the weather.
