James Foulds Memorial Walk - Redcliffe

There were 10 of us that caught the bus into Bristol and got off at ‘We the Curious’.

We walked to the Mud Dock for a coffee then carried on to St. Mary Redcliffe church via the Quaker’s very old burial garden.

Then we meandered down Guinea Street and the old General Hospital to the River Avon, carried on the paths and went over the river bridge to Castle Green.

We went past James’ office and down many streets and back alleys that he knew very well when he worked in Bristol.

We continued to Baldwin Street through the fish market around to the ‘Commercial Rooms’ for lunch. This is a lovely very old building and James used to be a member when it was for businessmen in the area.

Along different areas of the route we had funny stories about James and raised a glass of cheer to him in the ‘Commercial Rooms’.

We caught the bus back - the weather was good and it was an enjoyable day.
